On Sept. 23, 1998, a panel of radiation safety experts gathered at a Hilton hotel in Maryland to evaluate a new device that could detect hidden weapons and contraband. The machine, known as the Secure 1000, beamed X-rays at people to see underneath their clothing.
One after another, the experts convened by the Food and Drug Administration raised questions about the machine because it violated a longstanding principle in radiation safety — that humans shouldn’t be X-rayed unless there is a medical benefit.
“I think this is really a slippery slope,” said Jill Lipoti, who was the director of New Jersey’s radiation protection program. The device was already deployed in prisons; what was next, she and others asked — courthouses, schools, airports? “I am concerned … with expanding this type of product for the traveling public,” said another panelist, Stanley Savic, the vice president for safety at a large electronics company. “I think that would take this thing to an entirely different level of public health risk.”
Today, the United States has begun marching millions of airline passengers through the X-ray body scanners, parting ways with countries in Europe and elsewhere that have concluded that such widespread use of even low-level radiation poses an unacceptable health risk. The government is rolling out the X-ray scanners despite having a safer alternative that the Transportation Security Administration says is also highly effective.

So much for the new openness Obama promised to bring to the White House. Now he can kill American citizens, without a trial or any other due process or judicial review, simply because someone pointed and said, “Terrorist”. And the legal justification he is using to give himself this power to murder US citizens without a trial? …. Well, Obama is keeping that a secret. You and I are not allowed to know why he suddenly has this power – something specifically prohibited by the Bill of Rights.
I know terrorists are bad guys, but so are murderers, rapists and child molesters. However, we give them a trial and prove them guilty before punishing them.
It seems we are on the road to a tyrannical police state. I expect we will soon see American citizens here on US soil, rounded up and locked away, perhaps even executed, without any trial. It will be done in the name of protecting you from terrorists, even though bee stings kill more people than terrorists do.
I know most people who voted for Obama were “hoping” for some “change.” But it seems what we got was Bush 2.0. The tyranny has simply been upgraded.

Despite the mainstream media’s intentional disregard of Rep. Ron Paul as a top-tier Republican presidential candidate, widespread evidence of his popularity is apparent. On Saturday, the Texas Congressman won a landslide victory in the California Republican Party straw poll, a feat which continues to be ignored by the media. Likewise, military donation receipts for Republican candidates for the second quarter of this year reveal that Paul has received twice as much money from military members as all other GOP presidential candidates combined.
Overall, 71 percent of military donations for the 2012 presidential race have gone to Ron Paul, while Minnesota Representative Michele Bachmann received five percent, former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney eight percent, and Cain 13 percent. All other candidates combined have received three percent of the military donations.

Ron Paul has won the California Straw Poll. Of the 833 ballots cast, Paul won 44.9%, more then Rick Perry and Mitt Romney combined.
While these straw polls include very few people the accomplish to important things for a campaign. First, it is workout for the campaign organization. Winning a straw poll requires a campaign to rally its organization and keep them involved. Throughout this early election season, Ron Paul has consistently performed well in straw polls throughout the country.
Second, it provides publicity and credibility for a campaign. Because mainstream Republicans and the media have been attempting to marginalize Paul, this has been exceptionally valuable to his campaign. The more often a headline reads “Ron Paul wins Straw Poll”, the harder it is to treat him as a fringe candidate.
The G Report endorses Ron Paul for President of the United States.
We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquillity, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

Applications for unemployment benefits continued to rise in the past week, while inflation pushed higher and a key manufacturing index weakened.
The weekly jobless claims number, which is closely watched as an indicator for employment trends, unexpectedly rose 11,000 to 428,000, well ahead of estimates of 411,000.
The consumer price index, meanwhile, gained 0.4 percent when including volatile food and energy prices, after an increase of 0.5 percent in July. The so-called core CPI, though, gained 0.2 percent, which was in line with expectations. Continue reading →

Ten years ago, shocking and horrific acts of terrorism were carried out on U.S. soil, taking nearly 3,000 innocent American lives. Without a doubt this action demanded retaliation and retribution. However, much has been done in the name of protecting the American people from terrorists that has reduced our prosperity and liberty and even made us less safe.
This is ironic and sad considering that the oft-repeated line concerning the reasoning behind the attacks is that they hate us for who we are – a free prosperous people – that we must not under any circumstances allow the terrorists to win. Though it is hard for many to believe, honest studies show that the real motivation behind the 9/11 attacks, and the vast majority of other instances of suicide terrorism, is not that our enemies are bothered by our way of life, neither is it our religion or our wealth – rather it is primarily occupation. If you were to imagine for a moment how you would feel if another country forcibly occupied the United States, had military bases and armed soldiers present in our hometown, you might begin to understand why foreign occupation upsets people so much. Governor Tom Corbett signed the Pennsylvania Castle Doctrine into law on July 1. The law which takes affect today also includes a provision establishing the Stand-Your-Ground law, officially making Pennsylvania a “No Duty to Retreat” state.
The Castle Doctrine is a common law legal doctrine that states that a person’s residence is their castle. It provides the resident to use deadly force to defend that “castle”. A similar doctrine, the Stand-Your-Ground law, states that a person is not required to retreat regardless of where the attack takes place. The new law also limits an assailants ability to file lawsuits against a person who used deadly force to defend their life or property, another common feature of the doctrine. Continue reading →

How many times have you heard the mainstream media dismiss certain points of view as “conspiracy theories”? It seems as though one of the easiest ways to brush something off is to label it as something that only “conspiracy theorists” would believe. Well, you know what? A whole lot of the time the “conspiracy theorists” are right and the mainstream media is wrong. In fact, we owe a great debt to “conspiracy theorists” because they will go places and investigate things that the mainstream media would never even touch. The reality is that the mainstream media only tells us what the government and the big corporations want us to hear, and much of the time it is those in the alternative media that are left with the task of trying to figure out what the real truth is. So don’t look down on conspiracy theories or conspiracy theorists. In a world where almost everything we are told is a lie, the truth can be very difficult to find.
The following are 14 conspiracy theories that the media now admits are conspiracy facts….
#1 Fukushima Uninhabitable
Back in April, I published an article entitled “Much Of Northern Japan Uninhabitable Due To Nuclear Radiation?” At the time, almost everyone in the mainstream media was insisting that Fukushima was nothing like Chernobyl and that those that lived near Fukushima would be able to return to their homes fairly soon.
Well, it turns out that those of us that feared the worst were right after all. Just consider the following quote from the New York Times….
